Background info on your character:

By his name you know Trunks is from the future of Dragon Ball Z. Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma. Like his father Trunks have carried mostly pride, pride as a fighter and a saiyan. Through from his mother's side, Trunks is more polite and well mannered. Even when he introduces himself, he has shown that. Trunks's future isn't all nice and happy as you would expect from the show or where Goku is currently living in. To simply drop the rock, Son Goku has died due to a deadly heart virus he developed. At his time, there was no cure for it and thus he departs leaving everyone behind. After Son Goku's death, all went down later from there. There are a couple cities standing, still some buildings left if not demolished. Looking at what he had to live in, his surroundings, you defiantly know it ain't pretty. The reason is because of two androids; Androids 17 and 18. The androids are the result of the demolish buildings and the majority of cities fleeing. These two artificial beings don't carry any emotions or feelings from what Trunks have seen. They are monsters how Trunks would described them. They would kill anyone with no questioned asked. They even find the planet as if it was a game, their own playground. Trunks had to live in fear over the years thanks to the androids. The Androids have already targeted the DBZ fighters, killed them all. Now the only ones left were Gohan and Trunks to fight. Trunks was thirteen at the time of the fighter's death. Still a teen, Trunks wasn't good at planning the most. He would sometimes fly to were the androids are and challenge them. His mother lived during that time watching her only boy running off, or flying. Stubborn child too. Lucky for him Gohan was there too.

Rage, anger, sorrow, and more develops within him. Trunks wanted to stop them! How can he beat them even if his father couldn't. Looking up to Gohan as his mentor, Trunks asked him to train him, to become a Super Saiyan. Trunks true goal was to destroy the androids and hope for a better future. A couple months passed after training with Gohan. Though he hasn't reached the full potential to become a Super Saiyan, Trunks still wanted to help Gohan. Gohan purposely knocked Trunks unconscious thus he wouldn't suffer the same fate as him. Later, when Trunks woke up, he approached the ruined city making a gruesome discovery, to find Gohan dead. This was no simple bottle shaking waiting for the cap to pop off. It was more like someone left the bottle on top of the stove while it was on. Trunks's rage and sorrow grew to the point where he roared. The only person he was close to was gone, gone for good. Rage and despair, Trunks's finally achieved his level, Super Saiyan.

Okay a couple years have passed and now the boy is about 16 to 17 years old. Trunks have been training alone for the day he would beat the androids for the pain they have caused for him, and for the people. Here Trunks have learned some patience knowing he had to train and hearing his mother all the time. Well, his definition of patient is, okay he can go Super Saiyan now time to smash! Here his mother stated another option to return to the past before this has happened; deliver the medicine for Son Goku and warn them of the androids. Like the traits of his father, Trunks declined stated 'I don't need dead people from the past to help me'-Trunks's pride spoke. So yeah time for round two with the androids and this time he got a sword. Trunks then rushes to them hoping to finally end this nightmare. Instead, Trunks suffered a severe beating as the result. After the result, he really got his mother worried. Trunks finally agreed to return to the past to alter 'their' future. Least during that time, Trunks may learn the weaknesses of the androids thus finding a way to finally destroy them. Trunks and Bulma were aware their future wouldn't change if something is done, but to change 'their' future they still have time to do. 'Their' is stating Goku and the others.

Traveling to the past, Trunks is know as Mirai Trunks. Coming from the future, Trunks is aware what has or will be taken place. He develops a cautious mind; trying not to disturb anything else from the past he is now. This is where Trunks have grown more patience; he's planning, calculating, and tries to be more weary of his actions and surroundings. When Trunks first arrived to the past, he defeated Freza and his father in a couple of minutes. The other fighters witnessed this and were puzzled of who exactly is this youth. Freza was destroyed, Trunks welcomed the other with open arms. He never told them his name knowing he doesn't exist, yet. After Goku arrived, Trunks finally got a word with him, alone. Trunks explained of what is to happen in his future and the androids. He also explains of his future and, of course, tell him who he is the son of. Goku falls here. Yeah, Vegeta and Bulma wut!. After warning Goku, Trunks left proceeding further to their future, to meet with them later.

Arriving later, Trunks's cautious grew. To him, already things didn's seem right. Trunks fear keeps growing. Though he acts more causious, there are times his thinking became rational. One part where he finally met the androids from his timeline. Trunks tempted to blast them with his Buster Cannon in the lab where they were found to destroy them, of course the result failed, but he did destroy the lab.

Being from the future, Trunks is already aware of the timeline and such taking place. Because of this, he is very cautious and planning. Trunks tries to plan, calculate, and tires to be more weary of his actions and others; especially knowing what the future may become. There are times when he rarely uses rational thinking to enemies that will become a threat. This was shown when Trunks and the group infiltrated the lab and used a blast energy. Though with Goku around, he is shown more confident. The story continues, Trucks begins to become more confident and less cautious. He still never loses his rational thinking; he also learns from his mistakes and willing to admit it; opposite from his father. Other than that, he is shown polite and well mannered.

Also, what they were doing when they got pulled to the island, any relations with anyone else? Etc) Just after Trunks, Bulma, and Gohan discovered another Time Machine out of nowhere. He did look at the egg shells and the lovely shed skin before departing once more. Just as he flies, he then finds the island just below him. Talk about '...okay I'm not going to Roshies'.

You think everyone has something to look forward to in their lives, you know, your goal and dreams. Everyone has something to achieve in life, mines too. Yeah, you feel your future getting brighter and brighter ...Sorry to say, not everyones future is pleasant. Like myself, I'm living in a nightmare. Imagine buildings falling on one another, then to the ground. There are rubbles on the streets, parks, sidewalks, everywere. Then, you've noticed not many people live there. If they did, they would be living in an abandon building; they would be lucky if it still had a roof. Still, would you think it's safe?

..No.

They would still live in the constant of fear. These buildings didn't fall on their own. Worst, some cities, just by looking at them it was as if a bomb just fell on it. Heh, already some people are screaming its the end of the world. Most people are loosing hope because of the damage. That's my future, unpleasant...right? It all started with two androids. They're known as Android 17 and Android 18. 17 is a male with jet black hair with an orange scarf and 18 is a female with blond hair wearing a jean vest and skirt, some people said she is beautiful. In reality...they're monsters. I say that because not only they're artificial beings, they lack emotions. The only emotions they have are amusement, timid, and anger. To them, we're like toys to them. They'll joke and play with us. Then...when they're done, they would dispose it. When I mean dispose I mean 'kill'. I wouldn't expect them to develop any feelings to come. Seeing how much damage they have done, they wouldn't care.

ARG! I hate them!

They took away people's lives so easily, you can't give them back! They've even killed women and children, for what, for their own games! Each day passes people continues to wonder 'how long they would live'? Do you think living in fear is our future? No! I want to save them, like Gohan, like everyone else that have stepped up. All the fighters have suffered and died to change our future. Now, it's my turn. Gohan have done the same and died by them. I've learned a lot from training him and now hopes are on my shoulders. I'm tired of running, watching the people helpless, and most importantly, tired of living in fear.

Android 17 and 18, you two are going down. Once and, for all.

Even if I have to travel in the past to find a way to beat, so let it be. I'll take my mother's advice and do that. If I have to, I'll rewrite the future. Gohan, I wish you were still here to watch this. Heh, guess I'll meet you in the past. Mom, sorry if I worry you so much. I promise I'll be home soon. Wish me luck.
